Sydney.cn is hosted in China to allow faster download speeds and is also mobile responsive. The site is also available in English.

NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Tourism and Major Events, Troy Grant, said today, "China is the number one inbound visitor market for NSW. In the year ending September, more than 443,000 Chinese visitors stayed 12.1 million nights in NSW and spent more than $1.5 billion during their stay."

"It makes sense to have a dedicated and easy to navigate website to ensure potential visitors from China can access the information they need to help plan their next holiday to Sydney and Regional NSW," Mr Grant said.

Set to become China's number one source for travel information about Sydney and NSW, the website covers more than 150 iconic experiences, events and destinations in Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, Central Coast, Byron Bay, Port Macquarie, Port Stephens and Coffs Harbour.

Visitors to the website will be able to create travel wish lists, view maps and itinerary suggestions, and learn about the state's key tourism experiences such as coastal adventures, food and wine, nature and wildlife, festivals and major events, farm stays, shopping, adventure and attractions.

Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer, Sandra Chipchase said the website will inspire and educate Chinese travellers about Sydney and NSW holiday experiences.

"Sydney.cn will be a great way for visitors from China to easily find out more about our state. Sydney and NSW has so much to offer visitors from China, namely the magnificent Blue Mountains, the stunning Hunter Valley, the crystal clear waters of the South Coast and our beautiful harbour city. Food, wine, nature and animal encounters, shopping and Aboriginal experiences -- NSW has it all and we can't wait to welcome visitors from China."

"Sydney.cn will also provide access to the latest and best tourism information available on visiting to Sydney and NSW, including a Travel Assistant section on the latest visa, customs, health and safety and credit card shopping information," Ms Chipchase said.
