BANGKOK, Oct. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Nissan today launched the all-new Nissan Teana in Thailand, its first introduction in the ASEAN region. As Nissan's global flagship sedan, Teana offers a class-above driving experience that unites premium comfort with dynamic driving performance.

"Teana has always been a sedan where customers around the world could enjoy a premium driving experience, thanks to our leading technologies," said Toshiyuki Shiga, Chief Operating Officer, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. "The launch of the all-new Teana today is another realization of our commitment to Thailand, and I am confident the sedan will create sales momentum here."

The all-new Teana is a manifestation of Nissan's global design and engineering expertise. Redesigned based on the "Suggestive Aura" approach, it features a fresh and prominent design with a provocative and seductive aura, which maximizes passenger space without compromising the interior's sporty layout. Combining the comfort and luxury for which Teana is traditionally known for with the agility inspired by the Nissan Altima, the flagship sedan embodies what Nissan products stand for: quality, style, innovation and excitement.

The new Teana is also the first car in Thailand to feature Around View Monitor. A confidence-inspiring driving feel is made possible through Nissan's unique Intelligent Transport System (ITS)* providing drivers with complete 360-degree awareness of the vehicle.

"The two previous generations of Teana were recognized for their performance, design and comfort over the past decade and won numerous accolades in Thailand," said Takayuki Kimura, Nissan regional vice president. "I am confident that this all-new Teana will again be welcomed by many Thai customers."

Nissan expects to sell 10,000 units of Teana in its first twelve months. The all-new Teana will be produced at Bangsaotong in Thailand and will be exported to more than 30 countries worldwide.

* ITS is a comprehensive safety warning system which includes but is not limited to Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning and Moving Object Detection.
