(Nasdaq: PWRD) ("Perfect World" or the "Company"), a leading online game developer and operator in China, today announced that the Company will launch open beta testing for "Pocketpet Journey West" on October 16, 2008.
Open beta testing will include some major updates based on the existing features in "Pocketpet Journey West." One of the most exciting updates is the introduction of an "Aerial Combat System," which will allow gamers to participate in fighting scenes in the sky. Moreover, other distinctive features such as a "Guardian Pet System" and a "Precious Pet Ranch System" are expected to bring additional new experiences to online game players.
In addition to updating the in-game features, the game's graphics have also been enhanced. While maintaining a high level of creativity, more graphic details have been added to highlight the game's cartoon style.
