The company will also act as an ICANN accredited registrar for .org -- the world's third largest top-level domain -- and four internationalized domain names which translate to "organisation" or "institution" in non-Latin-based scripts.

PIR-Newco's board members will serve a three-year term beginning in fall 2014. Board members must commit to attending all board meetings and gatherings, participating in regular conference calls, and engaging in daily email correspondence. The time commitment for in-person meetings is approximately 15 days per year, plus travel time..

Eligible candidates should have prior board experience and be familiar with nonprofit governance and financial considerations. Desired qualifications include significant business acumen, demonstrated experience with the Internet namespace industry, and established understanding of and experience with the global NGO business.
