The new era of AirTime + Marketing Services has now been enhanced at QJY

Hong Kong, July 8 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Qin Jia Yuan Media Services Company Limited (HKEx: 2366, hereinafter referred to as the "Group" or "QJY") announced the acquisition of 90% of Triangle at HK$6.2 million. Upon completion of the acquisition, Triangle has immediately brought in a HK$2,000,000 marketing consulting fee from a client in Shanghai. Triangle was founded in Hong Kong in 1995 and is well known for its original Total Opportunity Marketing concept.

"In today's China market, QJY is more than TV airtime; QJY is about an integrated marketing platform for advertisers to increase their market share by leveraging on the awareness which their TV ads have created for them," said Dr. Leung Fung Yee, Anita, CEO of QJY.

Major brands in China are now re-inventing their marketing communication strategy. Keeping TV ads as their core, successful brands are working much harder with their sales & marketing dollars to bring consumers into stores. "To let consumers experience what they have seen on the TV by going the actual purchasing process becomes a new area where additional marketing budget is pouring in", said Dr. Leung Fung Yee, Anita, CEO of QJY.

Mr. Liu Yuk Chi, David, Chairman of Strategic Committee of QJY, also said, "Literally, there are hundreds of new ideas for QJY's clients in China to make additional gains without having to increase their TV media dollars. The challenge to QJY is to serve our major clients better by identifying the new idea that will work best for them. All successful brands are to 'Try A New Angle,' to seek good opportunity-sensitive marketing ideas. That's why we brought Rodney and his professional team into the picture. 'Triangle: Try A New Angle!'"

Rodney Tam, the founder of Triangle, is the first Chinese in Hong Kong to be voted Advertising Agency Man of the Year in 1997. He also founded the Hong Kong Independent Advertising Agencies Association in 1997, connecting full service independent ad agencies to promote their creative values in HK. Rodney Tam is the Executive Creative Director of Triangle, and his TVC creative ideas are well regarded as strategic & effective. Among his many successful TV campaigns, the Anti-smoking TVC series has won him the most popular TVC awards inside and outside HK. Many people can still recall his "2nd Hand Gum," "2nd Hand Toothpick" and "Winning" TVCs for HK Government to promote anti-smoking.

In addition to China Light and Power, 3M, K-Touch Mobile Phone, Lee Jeans, etc, Triangle has also worked on many HK Government's projects, such as Health Reform, Anti-drugs, Education Reform, and others. Government jobs have, in fact, formed a major part of its business.

"In the past, many of Triangle's local clients in HK have asked Triangle to provide marketing services to them in China. However, without a good network, and most importantly, a good local staff, Triangle couldn't take it and had turned down at least HK$20 million of business. Now, with QJY's support, we are in a position to serve our clients in China," said Rodney Tam, founder of Triangle.

It is believed that QJY+Triangle will become a total-opportunity driven marketing services group to the blue chips in China. Whereas to the clients in HK, this combination will become a very convenient launch-station for them to start marketing campaigns in China.
