SHANGHAI, Oct. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Last week, Renaissance Suzhou Hotel hosted a U.S. beef tasting event for local media and meat distributors at its R Bar and restaurant.
U.S. Consul General Shanghai, Sean Stein, attended the event to support the promotion. Consul General Stein gave brief remarks about U.S. beef's return to the China market and answered questions from local Suzhou media. Consul General Stein also enjoyed a sample of the USDA Prime grade rib-eye steak prepared by Renaissance Suzhou Hotel's Executive Chef Galliano Tao.
Guests of the tasting event watched a screening of the second episode of the U.S. Agricultural Trade Office's new short video series "Cooking with U.S. Beef", which features top chefs from eastern China cooking with U.S. beef. The episode shot at Renaissance Suzhou Hotel is online now:

A similar tasting event was held last month at InterContinental Shanghai Puxi Hotel. Another event will be held at Sheraton Hotel in Wuxi in November.
U.S. beef was re-introduced to China on June 23rd of this year and can be found at many hotels, high-end restaurants, and supermarkets.
