Made from e-textiles, Stomp Pad consists of a foot sized textile pad which plugs into a smart device, such as a phone. A wearable conductive patch is placed on the foot (sole of shoe) and the touching of the patch on the pad enables control of Apps loaded on the device. It is a light-weight, easily transportable, quickly set-up accessory, that fits in a guitar case, handbag or pocket.

Dr Helmer is an engineer, researcher, inventor and musician who captured global media attention in late 2006 with the unveiling of his Air Guitar shirt. His electronic textile research has not only been in the field of music and entertainment but also in sport and health. He is a seasoned musician playing in 8 piece party band "Madhouse" for over 20 years.
