LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Rightware, the leading provider of user interface creation software for the automotive industry, announced today Kanzi Lite, an extension to its industry-leading Kanzi® HMI (Human-Machine Interface) design and development software. The new extension will enable car manufacturers and Tier 1s to use Kanzi® as an HMI software platform for instrument clusters and infotainment screens in all car segments.
With the new Kanzi Lite extension, customers are able to use Kanzi® for all types of automotive and embedded hardware platforms, from low-end microcontroller units (MCU's) using proprietary graphics acceleration protocols to high-end System-on-a-Chips (SoCs) using standard graphics API's such as OpenGL ES 2.0. Designers are now able to build HMIs for various car segments using the same designer-oriented Kanzi Studio tool, while engineers have access to the robust Kanzi Engine with its APIs and UI framework.
"Graphical user interfaces are now becoming defacto in all car segments. With the addition of Kanzi Lite customers are now able to reduce time to market and increase reusability across their product lines." Said Jonas Geust, CEO, Rightware
