Two of the major exhibitors and what they plan to showcase:
Bosch
1. Start-stop system. This system can extend the run-down time of the engine, reducing fuel consumption and bringing CO2 emissions down to the minimum. The system comes equipped with the start synchronization feature, so that the starter gears with the engine when the engine is turning over at a very low speed, allowing the engine to start quickly and much more quietly. Meanwhile, the vehicle remains in the inertia-enabling sliding mode with no oil consumption, no emissions, no noise and low resistance, providing the driver with a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
2. Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) technology and pressure steel belts. With unlimited transmission ratios, CVT can optimize coordination between the torsion and engine speed through the unique transmission structure and an intelligent electric control system. The technology can help engines run at the highest efficiency at all times, reducing oil consumption and CO2 emissions, and provide continuous power when shifting gears, ensuring a 100% smooth and comfortable drive and making it an ideal solution for crowded urban driving environments.
In addition, the many transmission ratios and highly flexible systems using CVT technology deliver better coordination between engines and hybrid power motors, leading to easier and more efficient hybrid power system integrations.
Webasto, one of the world's top 100 automotive suppliers and the leader in the roof system and vehicle preheating system market, is showcasing innovative and comfortable technologies on roof and heating systems in hall W3 during the exhibition.
1. A newly developed solar roof. With this technology, the roof becomes a mobile power generation facility. It can yield up to 200 Wp of power, which can increase the endurance mileage by up to 1,500 km annually or be applied to the air conditioning system.
2. Innovations in lightweight construction – the world's first panoramic sunroof with infrared absorption functionality. It is also the world's largest injection-molded transparent roof with heat absorbing particle coating.
3. New energy vehicle-specific High Voltage Heater (HVH) heater, increasing endurance mileage. The heater leverages Webasto's innovative layered hot film technology for the first time, achieving a very high efficiency of up to 99%. The high-voltage heater can convert electricity into heat with virtually no loss, supplying heat efficiently in the cabin. In winter, the high-voltage heater can preheat vehicle battery packs, enabling the best operating temperature and ensuring improved endurance mileage.
This exhibition is co-organized by four authorities in the auto parts exhibition industry: the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Shanghai Sub-Council (CCPIT Shanghai), the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Automotive Sub-Council (CCPIT Automotive Sub-Council), the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE China) and Shanghai International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (SIEC).
