Virtualized Network Monitoring Solution measures and analyzes real-time network performance indicators to identify point(s) of network errors/traffic congestion to prevent or immediately address the matter, and optimize the overall network performance and service quality.

SK Telecom enhanced the completeness of the solution in close collaboration with Accedian and also worked with major LTE and fixed-line equipment manufacturers to develop interworking features to apply the solution to its commercial network. In August 2015, the company completed applying the solution to its LTE networks in Seoul and six metropolitan cities nationwide. Going forward, SK Telecom plans to speed up its efforts to apply the solution nationwide.

"Accedian is thrilled to receive such prestigious recognition from the leading independent panel of experts that judged the awards. Helping SK Telecom provide the best network performance and technology allows them to offer high levels of service and exceptional quality of experience. This award proves our virtualized network performance assurance solutions add significant value to operators," said Patrick Ostiguy, CEO, Accedian.

"SK Telecom is honored to receive this prestigious award as it highlights our commitment to improving customers' mobile experience through Virtualized Network Monitoring Solution. In collaboration with Accedian, the solution was developed and applied to our commercial network to play an important role in providing our customers with the best mobile experience. Our efforts will continue to develop more innovative network technologies and solutions to further enhance network performance and quality for our customers," said Lee Jong-bong, Executive Vice President and Head of Infra Division of SK Telecom.
