ST. "We have taken what Savvis has always excelled at – cloud, colocation, managed hosting, network and security – and added a new set of integrated solutions to drive valuable business outcomes for clients," said Steve Garrou, vice president, global solutions management at Savvis. "These solutions include options that leverage our consulting expertise and best practices for planning, implementation and operations, enabling companies to align even the most complex of IT environments under one roof."

Savvis' solutions portfolio builds on its strengths in IT outsourcing, colocation, managed hosting and cloud with vertical market expertise, infrastructure optimization and consulting services. The portfolio includes four suites:

  • Big datato deliver greater insights across all structured and unstructured data sources through an array of offerings;
  • Business applications to perform competitively at scale, without the distraction of deployment and ongoing maintenance;
  • Content management to promote collaboration and creativity across digital media; and
  • e-commerce to drive revenue faster through comprehensive, secure and scalable IT infrastructure.

Savvis is adding new managed offerings for IBM WebSphere Commerce to the e-commerce suite and Microsoft SharePoint and WordPress to the content management suite, and expanding its hosted SAP HANA services through the business applications suite. Each suite includes enhanced consulting services, such as assessments and guidance on technology strategy and integration approaches.

Savvis' e-commerce solution has enabled businesses like KingsIsle Entertainment, a developer and publisher of high-quality, online family entertainment such as Wizard 101, to grow and evolve offerings in keeping with customer demand.

"As a leading provider of online family entertainment, our customers expect an engaging, high-quality, reliable and secure service," said Mike Reiman, chief technology officer of KingsIsle Entertainment. "Savvis' e-commerce solution provides the reliable managed hosting, flexible cloud infrastructure and security expertise required to support our expanding portfolio of award-winning, online games."

Savvis' introduction of business solutions comes as market demand continues to rise for utility-driven IT products and services that are aligned to meet elevated business objectives.

"Sourcing practices risk losing their value unless they closely link to business strategy," writes Forrester Research Inc. principal analyst Liz Herbert in the May 2013 report "Sourcing Digital Disruption."

"The ones who will make the biggest high-value impact on their organizations will link themselves closely with their business stakeholders, understanding the deeper goals and challenges faced by the business units, rather than focusing only on core areas such as pricing, contracts and risk mitigation," she states.

Savvis operates more than 50 data centers worldwide, with more than 2.4 million square feet of gross raised floor space throughout North American, Europe and Asia. For more information about Savvis infrastructure management solutions, visit www.savvis.com.
