HANOI, Vietnam, Nov. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Developed by VietinBank, one of the largest banking groups in Vietnam, the 300,000 m2 mixed-use project will include office and commercial space. The new VietinBank headquarters is scheduled to be completed by 2017.
Designed by world-renowned British architects Foster + Partners and aimed at demonstrating the emergence of Vietnam as an international financial center, the development comprises two towers connected by a seven story podium. The taller tower, rising at 363 meters with 68 stories of office space, will house VietinBank's headquarters. The smaller tower will be 250 meters high.
Fastest double-deck elevators in Vietnam
Schindler will supply 75 elevators and 46 escalators, including 6 Schindler double-deck elevators traveling at the high speed of 10m/s, which will make them the fastest of their kind in Vietnam. The project will be equipped with 42 Schindler 7000 high-rise elevators, 23 Schindler 5500 elevators and 46 Schindler 9300AE escalators.
Schindler's PORT technology will power the elevator group in the office tower to deliver a highly efficient, intuitive and personalized building transit experience. The PORT technology is the latest and most advanced generation of destination control systems first pioneered and introduced to the market by Schindler in the 1990s. Behind this technology is a unique advanced algorithm that calculates the optimal transport solution for each user, significantly reduces waiting and travel times and increases the transport capacity compared to conventional elevator systems by up to 40%.
In addition, Lobby Vision, a building management tool that allows single-point supervision of the elevator and escalator systems in an entire building, will equip all of the office and commercial areas.
