Sino-Global Announces Notice of Annual General Meeting



BEIJING, May 15 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Sino-Global Shipping America, Ltd. (Nasdaq: SINO) ("Sino-Global" or the "Company"), a leading, non-state-owned provider of shipping agency services operating primarily in China, today announced that it will hold its 2009 annual meeting of stockholders (the "meeting") on May 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. U.S. Eastern Time. The meeting will be held at the New York Marriott Marquis, 1535 Broadway, New York, NY 10036. A proxy statement and copy of the Company's annual report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2008 have been distributed to Sino-Global shareholders of record on May 6, 2009 and filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Matters to be discussed at the meeting include:

1. The election of two Class II members of the board of directors, each

to serve a term expiring at the Annual Meeting of Shareholders in

2012 or until his successor is duly elected and qualified;

2. The ratification of the appointment of Friedman LLP as the Company's

independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year

ending June 30, 2009; and

3. The transaction of any other business properly coming before the

meeting.

The foregoing items of business are more fully described in the proxy statement. At the meeting, Sino-Global management will also report on the Company's performance and operations during the fiscal year ended June 30, 2008 and respond to shareholder questions. Stockholders of record at the close of business on May 6, 2009 are entitled to notice of and to vote at the annual meeting and any adjournment thereof.
