Whenever, Wherever, Money in Hands -- SmartPay Jieyin Launches Mobile B2B

SHANGHAI, China, Nov. 25 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Recently, China's mobile payment leader SmartPay Jieyin launched a new service, Mobile B2B, for its partner merchants to enable companies and their dealers to make collections and payments via SMS on cell phones. Up until today, the service has been successfully operating for over a month; transaction volume of the first month amounts to 10 million RMB, and it's increasing by multiple times.

China Unicom (Anhui Province) was the first merchant to adopt Mobile B2B and its dealers gave unanimously positive use feedback. It has been an ongoing issue for companies like Unicom, which has a large and classified network, to encounter collection problems especially where dealers are geographically distant, meaning payments are either delayed or evaded. Traditionally, dealers pay in cash or go to counters in banks or use online banking, either way, they face time and transportation costs. Mobile B2B aims to solve this problem.

How the service works is very simple. Dealers register with SmartPay Mobile B2B by "binding" their bank cards and cell phone numbers, allowing them to start making payments any time any where with their cell phones. When making payments, dealers just have to send a text message request for a money transfer to SmartPay and then confirm the transfer (also with a text message), before payments will be made. The whole process takes only a few seconds. SmartPay believes with people putting more dependency on cell phones in business and everyday life, Mobile B2B will be widely adopted.
