Summer Temperatures Affect UK Online Bingo Activity

2012-06-18 15:00 2417

LONDON, June 18, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Data released by Bingoport.co.uk, the UK's independent authority on Online Bingo, has revealed a definitive correlation between UK temperatures and Online Bingo Player Activity.

Bingoport's exclusive Bingo Trends data has revealed a direct correlation between the UK's weather and player activity on the UK's online bingo sites, with rises in temperature corresponding with decreases in player activity and vice versa.

The most indicative piece of data shows that throughout May, the UK's warmest day was recorded on the 27th of May, with 28 degrees recorded at Heathrow and as high as 30 degrees recorded in some locations. The same day was the lowest day of online bingo player activity for the month, with an estimated 289,000 UK residents playing bingo online.

In direct contrast, the highest day for online bingo player activity was recorded on the 4th of May, with just over 400,000 players estimated to have played bingo online. The temperature reached a top of just 9.6 degrees, the second coldest day of the month behind the 3rd of May, which also saw just under 400,000 estimated players.

A full report on the affect of temperatures on UK bingo player activity will be included in the upcoming May - June Bingo Trends Quarterly Report, which is available by subscription to Bingoport's Bingo Trends product and includes access to Bingo Trends' exclusive Player Activity Interface and customised daily reporting.
