As the global market competition increasingly expands, the world household appliance industry is facing a new pattern. Production and technology will ultimately determine the success of an enterprise. The venture is a mutual recognition and merger of two successful business paths. With the global R&D footprint, Hisense is able to provide a commitment to 24 hours of uninterrupted research and development. Meanwhile, Whirlpool has more than 25 R&D centers worldwide, including world class R&D centers established in Beijing, Shanghai, Shunde, etc. The two sides will certainly create a series of innovative household appliances with leading designs and excellent quality, to sustain a win-win outcome for both sides and strengthen their global competitiveness.

The remarkable combination will provide Chinese consumers with

leading-edge Whirlpool products, and will enhance the global competitiveness for Hisense products in the global marketplace. Given the ever-changing global environment, it’s crucial to seize the high ground in technological initiatives. It is reported that the new company will bring together advanced technology dedicated to high-end washing machines and refrigerators, providing highly advanced R&D and manufacturing techniques. The planned capacity is for up to 2 million washing machines, and over 1 million high-end refrigerators, annually. In addition to providing smooth operations and further expansion of the domestic and international markets, both sides will explore opportunities to enter new industrial fields.
