The contest, participated by Hangzhou university and college students, was aimed at encouraging road civility and reducing traffic disturbance. Mrs. Zhang Yefang, managing director of Tantech, was invited to attend the ceremony and presented the trophies to the award winners.
With the theme of "Order, Life and Future," the contest advocated the new traffic idea of "Self-disciplined, Love, Comity and Civilization," and was focused on hot issues ranging from Internet-based bicycle sharing to various illegal acts against traffic laws. The awards were given in the five sectors--online popularity, public service propaganda, digital media, graphic design and organization, and 17 pieces of works produced by students from China Academy of Art, Zhejiang Police College, Zhejiang SCI-Tech University, Zhejiang Gongshang University and Zhejiang University of Media and Communications received the awards.
Zhejiang Provincial Public Security Department has since March 1 launched a campaign to promote road etiquette through year end.
