TechFaith Plans Big Push at GSMA Mobile World Congress

BEIJING, Nov. 29, 2010 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- China TechFaith Wireless Communication Technology Limited (Nasdaq: CNTF) ("TechFaith" or the Company) today announced it would have an increased presence at the prominent industry event, the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from 14-17 February 2011.  TechFaith plans to showcase a variety of new mobile phones, alongside its full range of existing GSM, WCDMA and CDMA models.  The Company will be located in Hall 2, booth 2D74.

For the WCDMA category, TechFaith plans to introduce W900, a HSPA 3.8 inch LCD phone based on the Android 2.2 operating system. This model is equipped with popular features such as WIFI, GPS, 5.0 Mega Pixel Camera and more. Another model with similar functions and specifications known as "H99" will also be available on the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system.

For the GSM category, TechFaith plans to feature a "Mobile-Pos". This technologically advanced device is specifically designed for security forces.  Of note, the Mobile-Pos will integrate functions such as finger print identification, built in voice recognition capabilities, GPS, WIFI, bar code scanning capabilities, credit card payment and more.

For the CDMA category, TechFaith plans to introduce "TIDE-E", an EVDO 3.2 inch LCD phone based on Android 2.2 operating system. Key features for this model include G-sensor, GPS, WIFI, a large external memory support, micro distance flash for camera and more.
