SHANGHAI, China, Jan. 24 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- The9 Limited

(Nasdaq: NCTY) (“The9”), a leading online game operator in China, today announced the promotion of Yong Wang and Lingdong Huang as Vice Presidents. Both promotions will be effective January 24, 2007.

Yong Wang will be our Vice President overseeing our Sales and Customer Services Departments. Prior to his promotion, since May 2005, Mr. Wang served as the Senior Director of our Customer Service Department. From December 2001 to April 2005, he served as the Director of our Sales Department and led our sales department in strengthening the national distribution network for our pre-paid game cards. Prior to joining The9, Mr. Wang worked as a business development manager at East Asia International Trader Company from 1999 to 2000, and a supervisor of general business department at East Assets Trading Co., Ltd. from 1992 to 1999. Mr. Wang graduated from the Shanghai Mechanical College.

Lingdong Huang will be our Vice President responsible for our Product Department. Since he joined The9 in April 1999, Mr. Huang has held various roles within our different business units. Before his promotion, since November 2005, he served as Senior Director of our Product Department. Prior to that, Mr. Huang served as the Director of our Product Department from 2002 to 2005 and a Manager of our Editorial Planning Department from 1999 to 2002. Mr. Huang received his Bachelor’s degree in Informatics from Shanghai University.
