Three of the industry's top movie makers join Kristie Lu Stout on location at the world's largest outdoor film studio in Hengdian, China to discuss what the country's moviegoers want, need and how they make top-grossing films in the world's fastest growing movie market.

Guests:

Dan Mintz, CEO of DMG Entertainment Group, co-producer of "Iron Man 3" with Disney. Mintz's other co-production, "Looper", did well at the box office in China. Mintz has said: "Our real focus at this point is making international films, international wide-release, star-driven (films) with Chinese elements in them. It's a very specific criterion as we look for the right kind of story that will resonate around the world and in China."

Jin Yimeng (Eva Jin), her film "Sophie's Revenge" (2009) earned 100M RMB ($15M US) at the box office, making her the first female director to break that symbolic barrier. She was also the first filmmaker to prove that a romantic comedy could be a large scale commercial success in China. She worked with Zhang Ziyi in "Sophie's Revenge," and is now working with Fan Bingbing for her next film out in Summer 2013.

Lu Chuan, considered one of the most talented young directors in China, his third film, "City of Life and Death" (2009) had a box office return of 180M RMB ($20M US). His recent film, "The Last Supper," was a historical drama and a commercial failure in China. He believes the failure helped him to understand the taste of the audience and status of the market.
