Dr. Alden led the 62,000-member group for nearly 10 years, and earlier served in several senior leadership roles there. He has been recognized internationally for his medical expertise and his numerous contributions to the pediatrics field, including key advances in improving children's health through global advocacy and education programs. Among numerous accolades Dr. Alden has received throughout his career are two Gold Medals awarded to him by the AAP for his teaching exhibits on critical pediatric research subjects.
