Twelve Venture Capital Firms Hold Meeting in Changzhou Hi-Tech Zone for Companies That Seek and Make Investments

CHANGZHOU, China, Aug. 1 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Changzhou National Hi-Tech District (CND) announced today that 12 venture capital firms that include Jiangsu Hi-Tech Venture Capital Management Co. Ltd., Jiangsu Hi-Tech Investment Group Co., Changzhou Minsheng Guarantee, and Hengtai Investment Guarantee, have conducted face-to-face talks with more than 100 SMEs in the Changzhou Hi-Tech Zone. The Changzhou Hi-Tech Venture Service Center, Returned Students’ Venture Park and the Hi-Tech Zone’s Chamber of Commerce carefully compiled 37 projects into a book for venture capital companies to study and analyze. Zhang Xiaoping, Dong Qian and other leaders of the Zone attended the meeting.

The Changzhou Hi-Tech Venture Service Center, established in 1994, is committed to promoting the conversion of technical results into products, supporting the growth of small- and medium-sized hi-tech companies and in fostering hi-tech companies and entrepreneurs. The Center has already established an incubator for hi-tech companies by providing key services. The incubator has four bases with a total area of 96,000 square meters and has accumulatively incubated 384 companies, including Senstar, Aist, Techmark Science and Technology and 56 companies founded by returned students.

During this meeting, companies that seek, or that want to make investments, held heated and earnest talks. Li Yuezhong, a PhD returned from Germany, introduced “infiltration liquid waste treatment HCMBR technology, complete equipment and operation services,” and Chen Yi, a PhD returned form Japan, introduced “R&D and production of the non-poisonous and high-performance non-PVC medical plastic materials,” while 3L Science and Technology Co. Ltd. introduced “power cable communications technology -- 85Mbps multimedia broad band network” as potential investment opportunities. Also, technical projects such as “second-generation photovoltaic materials,” “D-type amino acids,” “high-power LED street lamps and new energy-saving applications for tunnel lamps” and “high-intelligence application systems for neighborhoods” were put forth for venture capital companies to make investment decisions on.

The Management Committee of the Changzhou Hi-Tech Zone plans to incubate small- and medium-sized hi-tech companies in the Zone quickly through these kinds of talks to help realize occupation of the market by industrialization and to accelerate adjustments and upgrading of the industrial structure.
