WUPPERTAL, Germany and SHANGHAI, July 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Two years ago, the "HAPPICH Industrial Parts (Shanghai) Co., Ltd." took up its work in China. Today, the Chinese subsidiary of the leading German supplier of interior fittings for commercial and special-vehicles can boast considerable sales and wants to further take up its speed.
"It is not the big leap but rather a strategy of small steps that brought us forward," says Patrick Emde. From the beginning, the general manager, together with his Chinese colleague Ellen Wan, first continuously established a solid network of personal contacts for HAPPICH China and created trust.
Now, after two years, about two dozens Chinese manufacturing plants produce - as official contract manufacturers - by order of and under the supervision of HAPPICH goods from the long-established German company with its well-known quality standard. In addition, two more Chinese sales representatives from HAPPICH China make sure that the number of customers will continue to increase. New requests are coming in daily. "It seems that HAPPICH China is now gradually gaining the trust that it can actually deliver high quality with reasonable prices," says Emde. This assumption is supported by the fact that HAPPICH China has been producing 15 different component parts for Kinglong since the beginning, which includes, among other things, the very sought-after HAPPICH luggage compartment flap locks which the Chinese bus manufacturer installs into his export buses. Further proof for this positive development is the fact HAPPICH CHINA is officially listed at the Chinese bus giant and market leader Yutong.
"It is now the time for further investments. We want to consistently expand the contract manufacturing on the Chinese market," says Marc Pelzer, the managing partner of the HAPPICH GmbH. In Shanghai they are already looking for a larger building to accommodate more offices and the first own HAPPICH manufacturing plant in Shanghai will soon be ready to start.
