SHENZHEN, China, Aug. 17 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Winner Medical Group Inc., "Winner Medical" (OTC Bulletin Board: WMDG), attended the World of Wipes International Conference (WOW Conference) recently in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The organizer of the WOW conference was INDA -- Association of Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, the trade association representing the nonwoven fabrics industry. Winner gained the opportunity to introduce its 100% cotton nonwoven products (PurCottonTM) to world famous hygiene and wipes market players. Other topics discussed included market metrics, future trends, product innovation, as well as the sustainability of the world wipes market.
"PurCottonTM products provide a solution for the soaring demand in the wipes market," said Jianquan Li, Chief Executive Officer. "At the conference, we received much positive feedback and enquiries on PurCotton. Most of the participants considered it highly innovative, environmentally-friendly and economical."
Cotton Incorporated, a US non-profit organization, which also attended the WOW conference, agreed to promote PurCotton in the US as it appreciated its 100% cotton concept and its environmentally friendly qualities. Once the application is approved by the organization, Winner brand products will be allowed to display a cotton seal issued by the organization.
Medical disposables distributors showed their support by placing orders for PurCotton products. Winner Medical has already secured two orders of PurCotton operation room towels from an Australian client. 4 tons of PurCotton fabric has also been exported to Japan for producing wipes products by the client. Samples have been sent to the Professional Hospital Supply (PHS) for mass promotion in US hospitals which started on 8th August, and it is anticipated that many more orders are to come while the Company's two PurCotton production lines increase to a capacity of 150 tons per month.
The enthusiasm towards PurCotton did not come as a surprise to Winner Medical. The innovation that lies within the fabric was recognized by the confirmed patent in China in July 2007 (Patent no.200510033147.1). The PurCotton manufacturing process is also under patent application in 30 countries worldwide.
