Plans to Increase Business Alliances
SINGAPORE, Feb. 28 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Zebra Technologies (Nasdaq: ZBRA), a top global provider of specialty printing solutions, is set for rapid expansion in Asia-Pacific in order to capitalize on growing regional opportunities and the company's continued success in the United States.
Currently, the Asia-Pacific market makes up almost 9 percent of Zebra Technologies' business, and the company has exciting outward expansion plans to increase this figure. Globally, Zebra Technologies also recorded a 16% sales increase in the fourth quarter of 2006 to reach US$759 million in annual sales.
As part of its growth strategy, Zebra Technologies has recently expanded its Singapore office, moving from its old premises at Hudson TechnoCentre to a more central and larger location at Robinson Road in the heart of Singapore's business district. With the capacity to staff 50 percent more personnel than before, this new office serves as the regional headquarters for Zebra Technologies in Asia-Pacific, reflecting the company's increasing emphasis on the region.
Heading the regional team is Vice President and Managing Director of Asia-Pacific, Andrew Tay, who previously served as Regional Director of Asean / Korea in Symbol Technologies and Regional Director of Cisco-Linksys Asia.
