Contract bridge has been cherished by the nation and its leaders. The two-player Mitchell movement game, which took place at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, was absolutely exciting. Mr. Nie Weiping, renowned as a Go sage, joined hands with Mr. Cao Dayuan, another top Go player in the tournament. Their partnership showed great chemistry and they were crowned the Champion of Group B East-West after an intense competition of 28 packs of cards. C Y Foundation sent its own bridge team for the game, which aims to facilitate and strengthen communication between the Group and government authorities and promote the bridge culture of "operations and health", as well as the Group's online poker gaming platform. The event not only presented a marvelous game, but also fostered friendship.
Mr. Theodore Cheng Chee Tock, Chairman of C Y Foundation, said in the opening speech of the event, "Since 1984, The CCBA has organized bridge friendly matches for provincial, ministry leaders and army general from officer grade or above at government authorities. The games, which were supported by Chinese political leaders, have developed a bridge culture of 'operation and health' in the country. Brain-training and entertaining bridge games promote interaction and friendship among players.
