HONG KONG, April 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to the magnitude 7.0 earthquake on April 20 that hit Lushan County in Ya'an city, Sichuan Province, GOME Electrical Appliances Holding Limited (493.HK), China's largest home appliances and consumer electronics retail chain enterprise, together with its holding company GOME Holdings Group ("the Group"), immediately announced a donation RMB 4 million in cash and emergency supplies to support emergency relief efforts. Meanwhile, the Group swiftly established a rescue team and instructed Chengdu GOME to mobilize a rescue team to transport the necessary emergency supplies to the disaster area in Ya'an.
The Group's first rescue team, comprising seven emergency supply trucks and nearly 100 volunteers from the Group, arrived at the disaster area at 3:00 on 22nd April.
