TOKYO, Oct. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- DataWorks Summit -- Hortonworks, Inc. (NASDAQ: HDP), a leading provider of global data management solutions, today announced an extension of its collaborative partnership with Huawei by providing Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) on Huawei's next-generation Arm-based servers. This initiative will enable performance improvements and accelerate time to value for joint customers who deploy Arm-based architectures for data workloads.
In the initial phase, both companies plan to work together to optimize HDP for Huawei's Arm server architecture. The ability to deploy workloads on Arm architectures ultimately makes it easier for customers to manage data applications across hybrid cloud deployments. In addition, Hortonworks plans to continue to support Huawei's Fusion x86 server product line with its recent Quality Assured Testing Suite (QATS) certification.
