CHUNGNAM-SI, South Korea, Dec. 3, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Jeonnam Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency (JCIA) (Director: Yi Jun-geun) announced a plan to hold a "Jeonnam Crafts: Global Biz Matching Day" in China and Malaysia to set up the international distribution network for crafts of Jeollanam-do (hereinafter referred to as "Jeonnam").
15 craft makers representing Jeonnam met local buyers in this event, which is a part of "Local Crafts Overseas Market Entry Support Project" promoted by JCIA.
The participants in the event particularly included major companies that produce fine Gangjin celadons, one of the most famous specialties of Jeonnam, such as Gangjin Celadon Design Research Institute (Representative: Kang Gwang-muk), Myeongpum Donginyo (Representative: Yun Tae-yeong), Gangjin Dongheunyo (Representative: Yi Young-hee), and Mujinyo (Representative: Wi Geum-ryang). The event is expected to provide an opportunity to export Gangjin celadons to China and Malaysia markets. JCIA estimates the export performance of about $60,000.
1st "Jeonnam Crafts: Global Biz Matching Day" was held from November 28 to December 2 in Jingdezhen City, China. A purchase consultation was undertaken with the participation of thirteen suppliers including Liangqi, Jingdezhen Returned Overseas Chinese Association, Jingdezhen Redleaf Ceramics Co., Ltd., and Ceramic Art Avenue Co., Ltd..
2nd "Jeonnam Crafts: Global Biz Matching Day" will be held from December 4 to December 7 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, focusing on the purchase consultation and sales exhibition with importers and distributors of corporate promotional items, such as SOSU ASIA SDN BHD, JOSMACO SDN BHD, and EDGI SDN BHD.

In addition to the "Global Biz Matching Day," JCIA will continue projects to activate the distribution channels and find new markets with robust strategies in order to further develop the Jeonnam craft and culture business.
