(Nasdaq: PME), ("Pingtan," or the "Company"), a global fishing company based in the People's Republic of China (PRC), today announced that the Company recently presented at the 15th China (Fuzhou) International Seafood and Fisheries Expo ("FIFE") for 2020 held in Fuzhou, China.
As one of the largest fisheries fairs in Asia, FIFE has been successfully held for 15 consecutive years and the 15th session of FIFE this year was held from September 4 to 6, 2020. It was also the first session when the expo was conducted in "online + offline" dual-line mode. More than 350 exhibitors went online on the Cloud Expo platform and 323 fisheries companies from 15 provinces in China attended the offline expo in Fuzhou where 1,725 booths were provided. At the FIFE 2020, Pingtan's operating subsidiary in China, Fujian Provincial Pingtan County Ocean Fishing Group Co., Ltd. ("Pingtan Fishing"), was awarded "Gold Medal Enterprises" and the Company's Indian Ocean Tuna and Indian Ocean Squid were awarded "Gold Medal Products".
