SHANGHAI, June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Praxair China has signed a scholarship agreement and a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with East China University of Science & Technology (ECUST) to partner on research efforts in the field of coal gasification and environmental areas.
ECUST is a top-tier university in China with strengths in the application of scientific findings and new technologies, especially in coal gasification and environmental technologies. It focuses on the generation of new knowledge, development of leading-edge approaches, promotion of creative innovation and novel applications of knowledge to offer practical solutions.
Praxair will fund scholarships to support Chinese students to study and conduct research in the important areas of coal gasification and environment. These scholarships will be administered by the School of Resource & Environmental Engineering at ECUST. Praxair will also fund collaboration projects at ECUST in these important areas.
