Annora Vietnam is one of the key players in the supply chain providing footwear for internationally-renowned sports brands. Committed to power its operations with renewable energy, Annora has available and unused space, and was looking for a trusted partner to install a rooftop solar system. Annora chose TotalEnergies, known for their robust technical experience in deploying renewable energy solutions around the world. Under the agreement, TotalEnergies will install and operate the photovoltaic (PV) solar system while Annora will pay for the electricity generated. This partnership allows customers to cut costs and carbon without taking upfront investment risks.

The PV system will have a capacity of 1.7 Megawatt-peak (MWp), and the project will involve over 4,000 PV panels being mounted onto the rooftops of the manufacturing facility, following the highest safety standards and regulations. Upon completion, the solar system is expected to generate 2,000 Megawatt-hours (MWh) of renewable energy yearly and they will avoid an estimated 910 tons of GHG emissions annually.

Simon Liu, SMP GM of HuaLi Industrial Group said, "Annora, a flagship factory in our group in Vietnam, always maintains an in-depth business cooperation with NIKE. Recently, with a significant growth in business, Annora also committed to build a sustainable production and operation model. In terms of energy, we have cooperated with the TotalEnergies for the rooftop solar PV project in the first stage. We will persistently expand the solar PV project in the second phase, as well as carrying out the feasibility study of the DPPA project with other third-party developers. Our ultimate expectation is to achieve the North Star goal of net zero GHG emission and RE100".

Gavin Adda, Head of TotalEnergies Renewables Distributed Generation Asia said, "With a strong, growing presence in Asia, and trusted by companies such as Annora as the solar energy partner of choice, TotalEnergies provides a solution that fulfils both environmental sustainability and cost-saving goals. As a leading solar service provider for commercial and industrial businesses, we look forward to supporting manufacturing companies, such as Annora, in driving down their carbon footprint, and use our global experts of tailor-made solar solutions for any business energy needs".
