HONG KONG, Nov. 2, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The pandemic has given us the opportunity to slow down the pace, pick up a book and start reading again. Youth Square has been organising 'Book Crossing Festival' annually to promote reading culture, allowing participants to exchange books by adopting 'place one, pick one' approach. With the theme of 'Revive the joy of reading' this year, the three-day 'Book Crossing Festival 2020' will be held from 6 to 8 November at Y Studio and Y Platform of Youth Square, to encourage youth to pick up a book and read for pleasure!
In view of the latest situation of the pandemic, interested parties are required to make reservation online prior to participate in the event. Four time slots of two hours will be served each event day with limited quota, and application will not be accepted once quota is exhausted. In addition to books exchange in Y Studio, the festival has extended to Y Platform this year to offer participants one more comfortable space for reading.
Besides, handicraft workshops will also be held on 7 and 8 November which are now available for pre-registration online. "Notebook DIY Workshop" hosted by Ms Tracy Chan, a young artist will teach public how to make a hand-made notebook from scratch with simple tools and materials; and "Hand-bound Mini Book DIY Workshop" hosted by Ms Wong Tin Ying ("Tiana"), a founder of hand-bound mini books 'eggwich', will promote hand-bound mini book and share the joy of the book production process.
