The First Xifu International Gold Wedding Jewellery Design Competition Redefines Gold Wedding Jewellery around the world

HONG KONG, Sept. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Attracting the world's attention, the first Xifu International Gold Wedding Jewellery Design Competition successfully concluded on 12 September 2017 with an award ceremony held at Oasis O' City Hotel Shenzhen. Honourable guests, distinguished professional and amateur designers all gathered to witness the finalists' expression of well wishes to newlywed couples through their symbolic jewellery design entries.

The theme of the inaugural competition was 'Oneness.' Competition organisers had looked forward to seeing designs incorporating different cultures and insights while reflecting the creativity and originality of designers from all over the world. Offering a total of 3.4KG of pure gold bars as reward for creative ideas, the competition attracted a total of 2,017 entries from jewellery designers and students from 44 countries and regions.

Senior officials of the People's Government of Yantian District, Shenzhen as well as the Culture, Sports and Tourism Administration of Shenzhen Municipality, along with representatives from the China Gold Association, the World Gold Council, UBM Asia Ltd, and sole sponsor Shenzhen Batar Investment Holding Group Co. Ltd all graced the evening and acknowledged the competition as a prominent milestone in enhancing the significance of the gold wedding jewellery all over the world. Members of the competition's judging panel, professionals in the fields of arts and design, and highly reputable media outlets were also in attendance.

During the elegant proceedings, awards were presented to the 19 finalists, the associations and institutes that have been supporting the competition, and the 11 winning designs. Thirty finalists signed business cooperation contracts with the competition's sponsor, creating limitless opportunities for further development. The award ceremony ended with beautiful models displaying the actual jewellery pieces of the 30 designs shortlisted for the final round.

Ever since the Xifu International Gold Wedding Jewellery Design Competition kicked off in January 2017, the organisers have been promoting the competition and attracting breathtaking designs through social media platforms, roadshows at institutes and associations, and word of mouth. It successfully harnessed the talents of amateur and professional designers alike and created a platform to modernise and elevate the traditional product segment.
