TOKYO, Dec. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The high-end Japanese pet brand Nyanko Planet, successfully entered China's pet industry after participating in Pet Fair Asia 2017, and now launches a new series of cat litter in Japan, and will introduce it in Asia-Pacific countries early next year.

According to Nyanko Planet's research, the top five favourite cat breeds in Asia are Maine Coon, Munchkin, American Shorthair, Ragdoll and Scottish Fold. For cat cleaning products, more than 70% of the cat owners are willing to buy cat litter that is customized for cat hair types and/or cat breeds. Cat Lovers' Lab Tokyo, research and development centre of Nyanko Planet, researched 14 breeds in depth to find the most suitable cat litter.
Nyanko Planet is launching the six-new cat litters, including the Tofu Litter for American Shorthair, Tofu Litter for British Shorthair, Super Woody for Shorthair Cats, Tofu Litter for Shorthair & Longhair Cats, Paper Pallet Litter for Recovery and Plant Blended Mineral Litter, and plans to debut in Asia-Pacific countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, China and Australia early next year.
To celebrate the 2018 Chinese New Year, Nyanko Planet will also release a limited-edition tofu litter, Lihua in China (also known as Dragon Li). But the challenge is that China's pet industry is starting to become competitive due to its faster growth rate than the other Asian-Pacific countries.
