Xinhua Silk Road: E. China's wetland park welcomes visitors with blooming flowers

BEIJING, April 14, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Blooming water lily flowers are seen in the Weishan Lake Wetland Honghe Scenic Area of Tengzhou City, east China's Shandong Province. With a total area of 90 square kilometers including a lake area of 60 square kilometers, the scenic area holds 130,000 mu (about 8,667 hectares) of wild red lotus, as well as aquatic forests and rich species resources that are rarely seen in other parts of China. In recent years, the scenic area has been making coordinating efforts of ecological preservation and commercial development, forming featured tourism clusters with increasing reputation among visitors.
