As of March this year, Zaozhuang was home to 4,229 new energy-related companies. From lithium batteries for electric bicycles and computers, communications and consumer products to energy storage and passenger vehicles, as well as high-performance lithium batteries for applications in fields such as ships, marine, and aviation, Zaozhuang enterprises have the capability to produce a wide range of products.
Zaozhuang has introduced a policy to boost the lithium battery industry with the aim of reaching a production value of 80 billion yuan ($11.1 billion) by 2025, 150 billion yuan by 2030, and 300 billion yuan by 2035.
Currently, Zaozhuang boasts 38 lithium battery research platforms and has accumulated 698 patents related to lithium batteries. This progress has attracted a group of leading lithium battery enterprises to invest in Zaozhuang, paving the way for a promising future in the lithium battery industry.
