Technology is changing the way brands communicate with consumers today. "It's always important to look at technology to understand how much it can enhance the customer experience," says Luca Deplano, vice-president, brand communications at Shangri-La International Hotel Management. "Gimmicky technology that only makes the brand look cool or modern is not going to help." Speaking at Marketing Unbound, Luca will share his views on how technology is affecting customer choice.

A social media-savvy and purpose-driven millennial generation is leading the shift from traditional marketing methods to online platforms. With higher expectations of brands to build deeper relationships with their consumers, constant change is no longer an expectation but a norm for marketers.

Held on Friday May 20th in Hong Kong, Marketing Unbound will unravel the challenges CMOs face in Asia and identify new solutions and strategies to make the most of regional consumer trends.

The event, which is designed for marketing professionals and business leaders, will feature an impressive roster of speakers from business, government and technology including:

  • Charles Allen, head of marketing, Arsenal Football Club
  • Karim Temsamani, president, Asia-Pacific, Google
  • Cheryl Goh, group vice-president of marketing, Grab
  • Andreas Gregori, chief marketing officer, Indosat Ooredoo
  • David Roman, senior vice-president and chief marketing officer, Lenovo
  • Asmita Dubey, chief marketing officer, Asia-Pacific, L'Oreal
  • Peggy Fang Roe, chief sales and marketing officer, Asia-Pacific, Marriott International
