JAKARTA, Indonesia, Sept. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- This year, more than 150 experts in Public Relations and Communication across the regions will gather to discuss the future of ASEAN in global competitiveness. Incorporating with the ASEAN PR Conference 2017, the conference will present the ASEAN communication plan as a solution to embrace peace and development within countries.
As stated by Indonesian Ambassador to Russia and former Director General for ASEAN Cooperation, Oratmangun Djauhari, the event encourages the leaders from ASEAN members and other participating countries to have a transparent discussion equally. "A sustainable communication network among the members plays a vital role in issue and crisis management in the region. In doing so, ASEAN and ASEAN-led mechanism will conclude many global challenges, such as geopolitical rivalries, transnational crime, equal welfare, ASEAN unity, and centrality," said Oratmangun Djauhari.
The discussions will be successful and effective if we commit to these four elements in the communication frameworks. "It includes ASEAN's way of thinking, maintaining peace, security, stability, being equal, and developing the Association as a rule-based organization. It will also help to underlie ASEAN and ASEAN-led mechanisms to make it survive throughout decades," added Oratmangun Djauhari. The details of the four elements, as below:
A good corporation in other sectors also plays an important role in maintaining ASEAN and EAS survivability. For almost three decades, the ASEAN member countries and regional players have committed to initiate financial and monetary cooperation, and ever since, it has thrived important results throughout the region. The challenge is, to communicate them better to the world. "As ASEAN has now transformed into ASEAN community and is striving to achieve the ASEAN Vision 2025, it is believed that what really matters is to find ways to effectively communicate and promote ASEAN's achievements, meaning, and identity among the people and the media." Most importantly, the people of ASEAN need to embrace the concrete results of the existence of ASEAN community and how it can successfully sustain peace and development in the region. Thus, it is being the priority to improve regional development; as concluded by Oratmangun Djauhari.
