SINGAPORE, Oct. 1, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- After a successful first run in 2018, Asia Derma, the Asia Pacific Dermatology and Aesthetic Conference & Exhibition returns to Singapore for a second edition. The leading industry event for skin professionals in the region will take place at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, from 31st October to 2nd November 2019.
Asia Derma 2019 is comprised of a Scientific Conference, which will highlight Asia-centric trends, insights, and expertly curated content from medical experts to an audience of dermatologists, anti-aging physicians and general practitioners, and a Trade Exhibition, which will showcase dermocosmetics, anti-aging and fillers brands as well as lasers and dermatology devices from 11 countries, including Gold sponsor Sesderma (Spain) and Bronze sponsors Novaclinical (Italy) and Daewoong (Korea).
The event will introduce the 'Derma Business Hub' for the first time, a platform where buyers and exhibitors can connect. Asia Derma hosts pre-selected buyers from APAC countries (i.e. Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam) and set-up meetings to help exhibitors to reach out to new distributors or clinic owners. With the Asia Pacific aesthetics market forecast to expand rapidly at a CAGR of 6.7 percent from 2017-2023, Asia Derma is the ideal hub for professionals to develop their business.
Professor Goh Chee Leok, Senior Consultant at Singapore's National Skin Centre and Chairman of Asia Derma 2019 Scientific Committee, explains, "The theme for this year's Asia Derma Scientific Program is 'Towards Evidence-based Medicine', in which key topics in both medical and aesthetic dermatology will be explored. With 18 plenary lectures, 24 symposia and a line-up of 60 world renowned experts from the US, Europe, Middle East and Asia, I am confident that Asia Derma 2019 will offer something to interest every participant. I would like to invite dermatologists, aestheticians, family physicians, general practitioners, plastic surgeons and any doctors with an interest in medical dermatology and aesthetic dermatology to join us and share their experience, so as to benefit the treatment outcomes of all patients. I look forward to welcoming you in Singapore."
The Conference will see strong regional representation as practitioners registered for the event hail from Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Korea, while leading professionals chairing academic sessions come from all over the world, including 17 speakers from Singapore and the National Skin Centre, 20 from Asia-Pacific and over 20 from overseas. The event is supported by the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (FCCS) and Korea's International Beauty Industry Trade Association (IBITA), to promote their respective country's active players in the dermatology field. Key exhibitors include Aesthetic Marketing Asia, Zero Gravity, Digispectro, Eunsung Global, Biogened and Zimmer and much more.
Anas Al-Madani, Vice-Chairman and Group CEO of INDEX Holding and organiser of Asia Derma and Dubai Derma comments, "Over the years, Singapore has established itself as the key gateway for ASEAN as well as other lucrative markets in the Asia Pacific region. With the availability of high-quality health services, state-of-the-art medical infrastructure and top-class research and educational institutions, Singapore has also emerged as a major medical destination in the Asia Pacific region. Today, the Asia Pacific region accounts for nearly 32 percent of global beauty and personal care marketplace, thanks to the presence of major skincare markets such as Singapore, and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.7 percent over the next 5 years, according to Euromonitor International. With such a rich legacy in mind, we are highly confident that the 2nd edition of Asia Derma in Singapore can surpass previous expectations and replicate the outstanding success achieved in its first edition. This year, Asia Derma offers a comprehensive platform bringing together top dermatology experts, skincare surgeons and researchers who will share their insights and address the top skincare concerns of visitors, participants and industry professionals in the region. Running parallel to the Conference, the Exhibition will attract the participation of over 60 top dermatology brands from 11 countries, giving them a platform to learn about the needs of the local skincare industry, network and explore business expansion opportunities in this highly lucrative skincare destination. Additionally, this year for the first time, Asia Derma features 'Derma Business Hub', a hosted buyers' program aimed at facilitating a seamless connection between exhibitors, regional distributors, hospitals and aesthetic clinics."
