TAIPEI, Oct. 31, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Asia Agri-Tech Expo & Forum 2019 is back this week for its third edition. The trade show kicks off at 9:00am today with co-located events Livestock Taiwan, Aquaculture Taiwan Expo & Forum and a first-ever collaboration with local authority, Council of Agriculture (COA), the Netherlands Trade and Investment office and the Trade Council of Denmark in Taipei on Circular Agriculture International Forum. More than 300 exhibitors have their product showcased in the 6,000 square meter exhibiting areas.
"The exhibition is expected to help increase the agrarian intensity of production and provide professional solutions towards food safety, food crisis, and animal diseases," stated Ms. Sabine Liu, General Manager of Informa Markets Taiwan Office. "The future agriculture will continuously develop in tandem with cross-industrial technologies. In addition to increase the efficiency in using arable lands, water source and precision management, cross-industrial technologies potentially give more added value of agricultural products and exemplify environmental sustainability."
The Taiwan Agricultural Technology Pavilion organised by COA showcased 80 of the latest technologies by 30 companies from agricultural sectors, including facility agriculture, bio-fertilisers & pesticides, feed additives, biotechnology and amongst others. Outstripping the cutting-edge products, the newly developed seeds and seedlings featuring heat-, disease-, moisture-, and drought-resistant and tolerant are presented in "Taiwan Seed Varieties"; meanwhile, World Vegetable Center will deliver a technical speech and unveil its up-to-date achievement onsite of the conference.
Three themed areas: Animal Medicine, Biogas & Renewable Energy, and Feed and Feed Additives are the highlights of livestock sectors in 3,000 square meter scale. Led by Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the Biogas Pavilion will introduce the latest biogas technology manufacturers and suppliers to provide the best solution for turning livestock manure waste into renewable energy. Furthermore, there were 40 international brands of swine, calf, egg and poultry automatic equipment and farming materials being showcased and has also been elected as buyers' favourite.
The utility of IoT technology has been well-performed in the remote monitoring, environmental control, and smart farming facilities for aquaculture operations. To better assist the industry, many exhibitors collected farming big data via diverse devices which are demonstrated onsite at the exhibition. The improvement of farming environment and effective management are crucial to increase yield of aquatic organism. This has therefore increased demands for buyers to invest in data collectors and cloud services, highlighted by exhibitor eKoPro Solutions Inc.
The Asia Agri-Tech Expo & Forum 2019 opens from 31 October to 2 November. The satellite event includes technical seminars, matchmaking programme and over 55 conferences. The show has attracted more than 15,000 visits in the opening day while the total sales are estimated to be approximately 10 million US dollars.
