Trending topics such as the smart city, equipment and devices that provide transformative in the world of healthcare as well as waste classification have become the focus of attention at the second CIIE. With ever more of the world's urban dwellers embracing a digital lifestyle, the elevator has now become the gateway for various application scenarios in buildings, with a smart building ecosystem based around the elevator being formed. In terms of the elevator maker's contribution to the smart city, Hitachi Elevator upgraded multiple aspects of its already highly comprehensive BIVALE facility management solutions by integrating cloud-based data in connection with the consumption of energy, building- and elevator-related security as well as the elevator equipment itself, to achieve an overall and efficient management of buildings.

At CIIE this year, Hitachi Elevator demonstrated the scientific and technological enhancements to the world's highest speed elevators (1260 m/min*1) which had been installed in Guangzhou Chow Tai Fook Financial Center and other recently completed landmark projects across China. The Hitachi's high-speed elevator received a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title as the world's fastest elevator*2.

The CIIE is a platform not only for trading goods and services, but also for exchanging ideas and discussing global trade issues and solutions. In light of future opportunities and challenges brought about by the development of AI, 5G technology and IoT, Hitachi Elevator looks forward to working with more partners to achieve the interaction of the elevator with other equipment in buildings, empowering the convenience of a GREAT city.
