On the morning of Oct 21st, the 10th High-Level Forum On China's Cultural Soft Power Research & The 2nd TANKAHKEE FORUM opened in the Jimei District, Xiamen City, Fujian Province.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up. The 10th High-Level Forum On China's Cultural Soft Power Research & The 2nd TANKAHKEE FORUM used "Deepening the reform and opening-up in the new times, building One Belt On Road for new friendships" as the theme to tell the story of China and pass on China's development concept, to deepen the understanding and recognition of overseas Chinese, to add new functions for the reform and opening-up, to support the initiative of "One Belt One Road", and to reunite overseas Chinese to achieve the "Chinese Dream".
During the two-day forum, special guests from relevant ministries, key universities and research institutes, as well as more than 200 overseas Chinese elites and well-known entrepreneurs from over 30 countries (regions) along the "Belt and Road" presented the soft power of Chinese culture to domestic and overseas attendees using formats such as keynote speeches, roundtable forums, etc., to promote the spirit of TANKAHKEE, and offered ideas for deepening the reform and opening-up and building "One Belt One Road".
The event was hosted by Research Center of China's Cultural Soft Power, China Association for International Cultural Exchanges with Overseas Chinese, Theory Department of People's Daily, Theory Department of Guang Ming Daily, Commentary Theory Department of Economic Daily, Chinese Social Sciences Today, Fujian Province Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, co-organized by Xiamen City Jimei District Overseas Friendship Association, and Xiamen City Jimei District Returned Overseas Chinese Federation.
