SINGAPORE, May 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry's leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites, has helped nonprofit organisation Image Mission Ltd deploy NetSuite to transform its business operations, enabling them to focus on their core mission of empowering disadvantaged women. Through a NetSuite.org software donation, Image Mission is using NetSuite for accounting, inventory management and customer relationship management (CRM), helping the charity to streamline and manage its customer and donor database, as well as its volunteer support program more efficiently. The implementation of NetSuite was well-timed to help Image Mission manage its growth; its client profile has more than tripled three months after going live with NetSuite.
Image Mission manages Dress for Success® Singapore, a program aimed to empower women to achieve economic independence. The program offers long-lasting benefits that enable women to break the cycle of poverty by providing them with a network of support, professional attire and development tools to help them thrive in work and in life.
Prior to deploying NetSuite, Image Mission faced difficulties in managing their daily operations, particularly for processes related to cost and resourcing. As a solely volunteer-run nonprofit organisation, Image Mission struggled with limited resources and managed its volunteer database and duty roster manually through spreadsheets. Now, an online volunteer application form integrates volunteer data seamlessly and enables the organisation to manage volunteer availability and skills more efficiently.
"NetSuite has helped to redefine business for nonprofit organisations in Singapore," said Li Kin Pang, Founder of Image Mission. "It has significantly simplified our challenges and provides us with access to information anywhere, anytime which is critical for a company like us which is run 100-percent by volunteers. It has made achieving our goal to serve 400 women in Singapore this year much more attainable."
To further support this worthy cause, NetSuite, through its Corporate Citizenship arm Netsuite.org donated its software suite to Image Mission. With the help of NetSuite SuiteVolunteers, NetSuite's Pro Bono Volunteer Program that matches the professional skills of NetSuite employees with the needs of nonprofits and social enterprises receiving a software donation, the solution was deployed in October 2015.
NetSuite provides Image Mission with the following benefits:
Real-time access and visibility. Image Mission can now oversee its operations with full transparency, providing real-time information and enabling business information to be accessible without delay. Image Mission now has complete visibility into CRM operations that integrate client, volunteer and referral partner information. Says Ms Pang, "Key volunteer personnel are able to access real-time information on clients' progress and better co-ordinate efforts to support them on their journey to career success. We can focus on building stronger relationships and partnerships."
Improved efficiency and productivity. NetSuite has enabled Image Mission to create an automated online volunteer form, which results in higher efficiency and better manpower allocation. Image Mission is now able to better identify volunteers' capability and availability, and match their skills with relevant assignments. Within just a few months, NetSuite's functionality and flexibility streamlined Image Mission's operations -- its client database in Singapore has more than tripled, from 12 at the end of last year to the current 50.
Timely and accurate reporting. As a registered charity and non-profit organisation, Image Mission has to comply with government regulations and submit financial reports to local authorities, namely Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) and the Singapore Charity Council. Since the deployment, NetSuite has been utilised to generate all the reports, which now gives an accurate and timely overview of its operations.
Accelerating growth. With further support from NetSuite, Image Mission hopes to reach out to a wider audience to support and strengthen the Dress for Success® Singapore programme through the set-up of an integrated online marketing and donation platform.
According to Zakir Ahmed, Vice President and General Manager, NetSuite Asia: "This is part of our efforts to give back to the community, and we are excited to have played a part in Image Mission's admirable vision to create equal opportunity for disadvantaged women in Singapore. By shifting their manual processes to NetSuite's Cloud ERP, the organisation is now better able to manage their costs, improve productivity and focus their efforts to help empower more women in achieving their dreams to become financially independent."
