SEOUL, South Korea, June 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NexStreaming (KOSDAQ:139670), a mobile multimedia software company, announced that it has signed a licensing contract with Tinno Mobile, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, to provide "NexEditor SDK", a video editing solution, and its companion Asset Store App, "VASSET", which allows users to download and use assets needed for editing, for SUGAR brand smartphones.

Starting with the SUGAR F9, a new "Tale" feature will be introduced to the SUGAR series of smartphones, similar to features which global smartphone leaders such as Samsung and Apple are introducing competitively these days.  It is one of the latest trendy video editing features, automatically grouping related pictures and videos to produce movie-like video.

The "Tale" on the SUGAR smartphone is developed using the Template feature of the NexEditor SDK and it gives even novice users who are not familiar with video editing an easy way to create fun and interesting videos by applying filters and transition effects that best match the photos. Additionally, SUGAR smartphone allows users to download and use additional templates which determine the mood and style of video from the Asset Store anytime. Users can create more exciting and stylish videos by choosing templates that match with their editing theme or taste.

SUGAR users can start using the Asset Store App immediately, without manual installation, right after purchasing the SUGAR smartphone, because the Asset Store App, called "VASSET", is pre-loaded on the SUGAR smartphone when shipped. When there are any updates available like new features or category addition, users can get updates through App store.

SUGAR Senior brand manager, Alex Chan said, "Nowadays smartphone users have plenty of photos, but there is no easy way for users to categorize and group them. With the new Tale feature, powered by NexEditor SDK, SUGAR users can easily group photos into categories, such as travel, family, friends gathering, wedding, etc., create and edit videos from the Tale, and share them with friends in a snap."

Jaewoo Kim, Head of Video Editing Business Division at NexStreaming, said, "We are delighted to offer the NexEditor SDK to SUGAR smartphones, which is gaining a lot of attention in the mainland China market. We are forming alliances with character and design partners to provide high quality contents to Chinese users and we also expect to generate extra revenue with advertising and premium assets."

Meanwhile, the NexEditor SDK has already been integrated in Xiaomi, Gionee, Transsion and LG smartphones and offers abundant video editing features like trim, reverse, voice modulation, filters, templates, text styles, stickers, background music and transition effects. VASSET, the Asset Store App, also comes with the NexEditor SDK to continuously provide new assets in order to enhance user experience.

In addition to smartphone manufacturers, the NexEditor SDK can also be applied to any service provider or mobile apps offering photos and/or videos as a service component, such as video service, games or live streaming, and is available on Android and iOS platforms.
