Putrajaya Floria Sdn Bhd (PFSB) in a collaboration with Tourism Malaysia and the Ministry of Federal Territories is showcasing a work of art that merges cutting-edge technology and refined floral artistry conceptualised on the 'Gasing' or spinning top which features prominently in Malaysian culture and is a traditional game popular among the Malay community.

Chief Executive Officer of PFSB, Ms Haslinda Khalid says, "It's an honour for us to be here at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show. With Royal Floria Putrajaya just two months away, this is an ideal learning platform and also gives us an opportunity to tell Australians about our Flower and Garden Festival which is into its ninth edition. As a tropical country, Malaysia is predominantly green and has a valuable forest heritage and wildlife that is interpreted via this exhibit."

"The exhibit showcasing Malaysia's flora in an intricately designed display that incorporates a water feature, earthern urns and traditional wood benches amidst leaf-shaped planter boxes at the Royal Exhibition Building would give visitors an insight into tropical rain forest flowers and a variety of plants that include tropical orchids such as Aranda, Oncidium, Dendrobium, Cymbidium, Ascocentrum and Phalaenopsis."

"Other tropical flowers like Anthurium, Crab claws, Heliconia, Ginger flower, Strelizia, Tuberose and varieties of fern foliage, together with Malaysian Highlands flower varieties like Chrysanthemum, Golden Rod, Gerberas, Roses, Asters and Alstromeria complete the kaleidoscope of colour that is enhanced by the use of lighting effects to create a showcase of Malaysia, that's truly Asia."

Illuminating the nation's branding "Malaysia, Truly Asia" which captures and defines the essence of the country's unique diversity, the showcase sums up the distinctiveness and allure of Malaysia that makes it an exceptional tourist destination. Nowhere is there such an exciting diversity of cultures, festivals, traditions and customs, offering a myriad of experiences.

Royal FLORIA Putrajaya 2016 will open its doors from 27th May to 4th June 2016 at Anjung FLORIA, Precinct 4, Putrajaya with Magical Gardens-themed components using state-of-the-art technology from Europe. The Magical Gardens will feature an amazing experience through the Mystical Forest, Chrysanthemum Garden, Mermaid's World and Candy Courtyard that offers a virtual experience to excite all five senses.
