"XCMG Cup" Green Innovation Design Competition celebrates emerging talents

XUZHOU, China, Oct. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- XCMG's first industrial design competition "XCMG Cup" Green Innovation Design Competition hosted the award ceremony of the final competition at XCMG headquarters on October 12. The first prize was awarded to the pneumatic suction sweeper designed by Beijing Forestry University's Department of Industrial Design team led by Cheng Xufeng.

A touchstone for XCMG's groundbreaking cloud technology revolution, the "XCMG Cup" received 285 entries submitted through the all-new online platform in the field of environmental cleaning equipment from 720 creative talents, who come from 18 countries, such as the United States, Germany and Brazil, and 32 regions in China.

XCMG has taken on a new path this year since launching the major joint project XCMG-Cloud in collaboration with Aliyun from Alibaba Group, an unprecedented industrial data and information hub. "XCMG Cup" explored to mirror the technology crowdsourcing model to motivate young designers to contribute new ideas through the innovative and open cloud platform.

The competition is also part of XCMG's 14 precisely positioned global public welfare projects in 2016. This month, XCMG is also hosting donation events and presenting global scholarships to 150 students from six countries including Thailand, Indonesia and Bangladesh to pursue their studies in construction engineering and machinery.
