BANGKOK, Nov. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Fifty-eight Accor Heartists (employees) have completed a three-day cycling journey along the Mekong Delta, from 15th-17th November, as part of the hospitality group's Amazing Bike Ride 2019. This year, participants cycled over 300km along the Mekong Delta in the south of Vietnam. Each of the 15 teams of cyclists were tasked with raising 10,000USD to support local organisations such as YimKids of Thailand, Ecole Paul Dubrule, Mekong Plus and Smile Group to develop projects related to education in order to provide greater opportunities to disadvantaged youths. The total funds raised to date equate to 128,800USD with fundraising open until the end of the year.

Launched in 2017, the Amazing Bike Ride project is an initiative of the group's RiiSE committee - an international network that sets out to promote diversity and inclusion. The double "ii" in RiiSE symbolises the men and women who are committed to the values of inclusion and combatting stereotypes related to disabilities, gender, LGBT, generations and culture.
