HONG KONG, Aug. 22, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Hong Kong based entrepreneur and athlete Ajmal Samuel is taking yet another endurance challenge – he is now set out to hand-cycle from Lithuania to Norway, spanning 3,000+ km and starting on 21st August, aiming to raise HK$200,000 for Resolve Foundation and to call to action for the global communities to promote diversity and inclusion.
Dubbed the "I Resolve Challenge", Ajmal's aim is to generate HK$200,000 in support of the Resolve Foundation. This foundation is pivotal in championing diversity, inclusivity, and in uplifting individuals from marginalised sections of society. But there's more to the challenge: it stands as a testimony to physical health, fitness, emotional wellbeing, and mental fortitude. It's a bid to underscore the immense capacities of individuals with disabilities and to foster international partnerships that tangibly promote diversity and inclusivity.
Ajmal Samuel articulates, "I invite everyone who treasures diversity and inclusion to back this challenge. Each contribution, be it a one-time gesture or a monthly pledge, holds monumental importance. Join me on this impressive ride, and together, let's create a legacy as we forge a world that respects and champions individuals across all ability spectrums."
Ever since Ajmal Samuel undertook his first endurance ride from Beijing to Mohe in 2019 – covering an impressive distance of 2,615km in just 37 days – he harboured a vision. This vision was grounded in the belief that every subsequent year would witness him undertaking similar challenges across diverse global locales. His mission is to spotlight awareness about disabilities and to emphasise the vast potential residing within individuals with disabilities to actively engage in sports.
About the Inclusivity Rides: Introduced by the Ajmal Samuel Foundation (ASF), these rides are conceptualised to be all-embracing. Irrespective of physical ability, age, athletic prowess, or background, every individual is welcomed into this initiative.
ASF is on the lookout for wide-ranging partnerships: spanning sports organisations, cycling clubs, NGOs, hospitals, rehab centres, educational bodies, media establishments, and corporations. Firms, in particular, are spurred to incorporate their workforce in these rides, aligning seamlessly with ESG and CSR tenets.
Additionally, ASF is prepping to chronicle all of Ajmal's sporting endeavours. A photo documentation is anticipated to roll out by Q1 2024, offering yet another avenue to amplify fundraising endeavours for the foundation.
