SEOUL, South Korea, Nov. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Carima Co., Ltd, (CEO Lee-Byoung-Geuk), developers of digital Light processing (DLP) 3D printer, will be attending "Formnext 2018", the 3D printer exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany from 11/13 to 16.

At this event, 470 international businesses will participate to showcase the trends in 3D printing, including industrial molding, manufacturing solution, design, product development and more. It is expected that more than 30,000 visitors will be at the event. Carima can be found at Hall 3.1-C40 of Messe Frankfurt.

Carima developed the first DLP 3D printer in Korea. DLP is a printing technology in which each layer of liquefied photopolymer resin is cured in sequence in shape of the projected image through DLP engine.

The model IM2, specialized for printing jewelry, dental, and figurines, has maximum print capacity at 7-8 cm per hour, 50-micron resolution (X/Y) for high accuracy, and digital touch panels for easy use. It also allows multi-printing regardless of the number of data and figures, thanks to its mechanism of Digital light processing.

This printer allows time and cost-effective production of parts for details and precision. The flexibility list of usable materials, such as castable Resin, Urethane, Dental resin, is one of its strength as well.

Carima has full line-up of DLP 3D printers: IM series for jewelry, dental, and figurines, TM series for industrial uses, and DM series also. The demands for printers are especially high in the industries that require high precision as the printers are optimized to printing detailed designs, such as implant surgical guide, or dental models. In 2018 only, about 200 machines were sold.

Carima's manager Mr. Kim commented: "We plan to introduce our company's DLP based 3D printer and printing technology to the world at Formnext 2018. We will share diverse examples of utilizing 3D Printer for the potential and current users of 3D printers."

On the other hand, Carima is already recognized by the city government of Seoul for its business competitiveness and technology, as it received "High Seoul Brand" certification from the Seoul Business Association. It also participates in national research projects related to 3D printers by collaborating with government institutions, colleges, and research facilities.
